No,.. I am not the elephant in the picture
J A N E R O S E S P E I S E R
biographical note: I have divided my time in three parts, nearly equally, between the design and contracting of total renovations of residential and commercial properties from San Francisco to Italy; as a writer, illustrator and film director of social satire, and as a pioneer in software development for computer animation. I was a founding member of PROJECT ONE, 1970-77, the first and largest urban community in San Francisco, in which an ex-factory of eighty thousand square feet was converted into lodging office and laboratories for a hundred and fifty people. This effort was the catalyst for the reconversion of the entire industrial area of the city into the high tech zone, SOMA, as it is now known. Within my involvement in renewable energy sources, I designed in 1996 a hybrid, parabolic solar oven; and taught village artisans in Sherpur, Bangladesh to produce it; then imported and commercialized it in Italy. My books and monographs on technical and social themes include: OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE BEL PAESE 2016; WOULD WINNIE THE POOH FIND WORK IN THE WIRELESS WORLD, 2012; STOWAWAYS: a musical fable for our times, 2011, LOVE IS A LANDMINE, 2009, THE ROADMAP OF THE PROMISED LAND Editore Angolo Manzoni,Torino 2006; COMPUTER ANIMATION DOES NOT BITE,1990 Pixel Graphics, Torino; ONCE THERE WAS A GIRAFFE WHO WAS AFRAID TO GO INTO THE SUBWAY, Armando Editore, Rome 1977; THE CHILD’S GARDEN OF SEX, Zephyros Educational Exchange, San Francisco 1975; illustrator for FINDING COMMUNITY, Freel & Assoc. San Francisco 1971; YOUR CITY HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED, Addison and Wesley, San Francisco, 1972. I received a Master’s degree from Harvard University School of Education, after previous studies at The Cooper Union and Bryn Mawr College. |
our consortiumIn order to implement my goals with regard to ‘a cooler house for Africa’ I have formed a consortium among five of my long term colleagues, who will collaborate with me on this project. They include two research institutes, one non-profit humanitarian organization, one multinational industry and one project manager specialized in IT solutions, as follows.
1. Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, Genoa,--CNR: Institute for Macromolecular Studies, - Responsible for the ISMAC Section of Genoa, PAOLA STAGNARO, PhD in Chemical Sciences; over the years she has focused her studies on multicomponent polymer-based materials (blends, composites and nanocomposites) for green tyres, agro-food, food packaging, eco-buildings, addressing the issues of safety, eco-sustainability and circular economy. 2. Brunel University London – Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering –SEYED GHAFFAR, Assistant Professor, a main emphasis of his research is on environmentally friendly, industrially effective pre-treatments for the production of bio-composites/bio-based construction materials. He is the Manager of the Grow2Build European Centre of Excellence, which serves as a focal point for manufactures, industries and research centres interested in bio-based building products, providing them with technical support and innovation. |
. . .more of us4. Plastica Alfa Spa., scientific and technical director LUCIANO FALQUI--
A industrial company operative over the past thirty years, in Caltagirone, whose core business involves innovative solutions for irrigation in agriculture. 5. Chahtech SA., founder and director BELLACHHEB CHAHBANI, An industrial company based in Djerba, that has developed a high performing, patented technology for buried irrigation diffusers. Their combined multifaceted capabilities, in research and industrialization, are happily catalyzing with my design skills. We believe we have the appropriate mix of invention, realism and determination to guarantee a positive outcome for our project. |
